Clos Electrique is quickly becoming one of my favorite wines out of Oregon. I like the 2011 vintage as it tend be be a bit more Burgundian for my taste and this one is just stunning. Will go for many, many years and will be letting my additional bottles rest for some time. I shame in drinking now though, it’s killer stuff.

Nov 10th, 2013Holy wow. This was good yesterday, but it is sublime today. That subtle mix of cola, spice, gamey funk, herbs, black and red fruit. Words don't do this justice. Acidity and density are perfectly balanced, and this has such amazing length. Nothing to do but sit back and enjoy the ride.

May 23rd, 2014Just a stunning showing for this wine! Pop and pour, and a fair amount of reduction/brett on the nose at first, but it slowly blew off to reveal an intense wine. On the nose a hint of mushroom, followed by loads of ripe cranberry and strawberry. On the palate, this has picked up so much weight from the last time I had it...great density and juicy red fruit buoyed by vibrant acidity. Given how much this has improved, I will wait longer for my next bottles...
