Fonte Cupa Colline Teramane Montepulciano d'Abruzzo

Dark ruby color with purple highlights. Aromas of black fruit, leather and wet soil. Flavors of blackberries, black plums, black cherries, tobacco, bakers chocolate and minerals. Slight bit of vanilla and oak on the long, but very hot finish. The earthy quality and alcoholic heat dominate in this wine, which negatively affects its balance. Needs a long decant. Maybe some additional bottle age will mellow my other bottle.
