Rosso di Valtellina Chiavennasca

Light ruby red , wide light pink rim . On the nose quite floral and aromatic , with spicy red pepper , rose and raspberry notes . On the palate juicy red fruits , strawberry , raspberry and some fresh thyme and sage . Fresh acidity and light, slightly chalky tannins . Medium length , with herbal and red fruit touches . This is drinking well now, and will be best over the next 2-3 years whilst the fruit remains fresh and vibrant . A good , though quite simple , entry level wine from this producer .
