Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

gotta be honest. woody on the nose right off the bat. And on very very end. I like what’s going on in mid palate. 2017 vintage was a challenge and is clear here. I loved previous vintages. Drink it up now- it’s juicy and quaffable. 8

This was a gift, from Grant? Oak is heavy, but overall not as dense as some Napa Cabs, which is a positive in my book. Had this with sausage pasta. Probably better suited to red meat.

Bright and direct. Pleasant structure with a nice mix of red and dark berry flavors and mineral.

Savory with plum and currant. Some iron as well.

Savory with dark fruit and berries. A touch of mineral and peppers throughout.

Solid wine and price point. Currant and light plum flavors mixed with iron and some pepper.
