Casale del Giglio
Lazio Shiraz

Smooth, subtle and very drinkable. Better once open for a while. Touch of spiciness but overall somewhat “watery” if you know what I mean

Paid about $30. First pure Shiraz I remember having from Italy. Drank with mom and dad in NYC along with a mozzarella ball, Italian meats, and a wonderful ambiance of the Italian market.

Mar 9th, 2013A really great, light red (rosso) with intermingled fruity flavors of raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries (fruit of the woods). The smell even reminds me of a picnic in the forest. Not something I would drink everyday for the price alone, 12 euro, but a lovely vintage nonetheless.
