Tenuta Nuova Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

What a beautiful expression of this variety and region. Had barely any bottle bouquet. Would have guessed it to be 5 years younger.

Awesome. Favorite of the night. Depth. Structure. Yum.

In a good spot right now. Rawhide, rose petal, tobacco, black cherry, plum skin. Fair bit of brett, but somehow making it work.

Brunellogated. It's a beast. Second 04 I've had that most likely isn't 100% Sangio.

There wasn't a hard edge in sight. Really enjoyed it and had it side by side with another 04 Brunello and j thought it was a little nicer despite the fact that we brought the other one.

Rich fruit forward wine. Great vintage.

Smooth with silky tannins .. slightly subdued fruit profile but a great food wine.. excellent tonight with chicken parmigiana and rigatoni!!

Oak here has mostly integrated. Wait another 2-4 years.

Faintly watery at the rim; good deep red color, black- and raspberry on the nose; dark red fruit, licorice, spice and slight tannins on the palate; full bodied with lingers aftertaste. On a good plateau, it seems.
