I love this wine, a truly lovely BDM that demonstrate to charm of Toscana. It is rich dense and expressive on the palate and the nose. It is almost black in color, the nose is full of plums, cherries, cloves, cinnamon, sweet spices and cedar wood, the body is full, round, smooth, rich and elegant, the tannins are caressing and the acidity is just perfect, a truly balanced wine, with a long luxurious finish. Yummy, my score 90, drink to 2023. Why not a higher score because I tasted the 2008 ;-)

Dissapointing for me at this price-point. Very harsh tannins and no "fat" on the bones. Maybe not the best vintage.

Very nice after 12 years. Not as smooth as other Brunellos of equal age but very complex.

Classic Brunello nose. A bit dry on the palate but a nice long finish. A pleasant wine - even if not a home run.

Dark red cherry notes with tobacco and earth notes. Big wine with tannins and acidity to match. In a great spot now, especially with lamb off of the grill.

Nestled between stellar vintages (2004 & 2006) is this 2005 star. I was able to find discounted at Sam's Club! Like all Brunello's, you must decant for at least 30 minutes. Once you do, the consistently 90+ rated pedigree emerges that will make an event or evening more memorable. There are more expensive Italian wines, but a bottle of Casanova di Neri Tenuta Nuova has never disappointed. Cheers!
