Really enjoyable and a nice surprise for domestic Sangiovese. 15% abv is high but not noticeable on the palette. Ripe red cherry, licorice and baked rhubarb. Nice alternative for those who like new world Grenache or Zinfandel

For the second straight year, this Washington Sangiovese captivates with its varietally precise aromas and flavors of red berries, dried cherry, menthol and flowers. Its succulent balance of fruit sweetness and acidity and its excellent back-end grip make it a flexible dinner companion. $20.00 (Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, October 2018)

Not a Brunello but damn good wine. Medium full body with loads of up front mixed red and purple fruit. Easy to drink with more complexity than I thought. Very nice acidity which matches up with Italian dishes: garlic, cheese, pasta, meats and basil 😀😀🍷🍷.
