Deep purple in color with a nice purplish rim.

Fruity nose with blackberries, black currants, cherry pie, figs, raisins, oak, alcohol, light vanilla, spices, licorice, leather, chocolates, mocha, coffee, cocoa and black pepper.

Full body with medium acidity and long legs.

Very fruity on the palate with black currants, blackberries, sweet cherries, blueberry pie, figs, raisins, wood, earth, leather, licorice, light vanilla, pencil lead, spices, light herbs, coffee, dark chocolates and peppercorn.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.

This Californian Red Blend is drinking very nicely now. Nicely balanced with nice complexity and a great mouthfeel.

Enjoyable by itself as a sipping wine or with food. Rich and jammy.

Good right out of the bottle, but much better after 90 minutes in a decanter, when it becomes more balanced with nice tannins and structure. Good for parties too.

A blend of Petite Syrah, Mourvedre, Syrah and Grenache.

15% alcohol by volume.

Deep purple in color with a short purplish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, sweet cherry pie, wood, vanilla, licorice, light vegetables, chocolates, tobacco, beef jerky, earth, vinaigrette, spices and black pepper.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked strawberries, oak, licorice, cloves, chocolates, earth, vanilla, spices, alcohol, tobacco, light vegetables and peppercorn.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This is a great red blend from California. Well balanced with nice complexity and mouthfeel. The palate was much more interesting than the nose.

Peaking now, and good right out of the bottle, but much better after 2 hours when the tannins come in and bring in more structure. I had it last year, and now it's much better. The tannins calmed down and it is much more balanced.

Dark ruby in color with a purplish rim.

Fruity nose of blueberries, black plums, vanilla, toasted oak, leather, licorice, bitter herbs, spices, black pepper, chocolates and tobacco leaf.

Full bodied and bold with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, milk chocolates, tobacco, wood, graphite, vanilla, licorice, spices, dark coffee, pencil lead, earth and peppercorn.

Medium plus in finish with firm tannins and tangy raspberries.

This California Red Blend is drinking nicely now, although it is still young. Fruity and jammy. Showing nice complexity, but not fully balanced, as it's tannins are too big right now (which I totally liked).

Enjoyable by itself or with food like BBQ Meats. I had it all by itself. A good sipping wine.

A blend of Petite Sirah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Syrah.

Pretty ruby in color with a wide purplish rim.

Fruity nose of blueberries, plums, strawberries, wood, licorice, earth, eaucaliptus, metals, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, vegetables, black tea and peppercorn.

Medium bodied with medium acidity and nice legs.

Dry on the palate and fruity, with blackberries, black currants, sweet plums, vegetables, oak, cloves, vanilla, spices, espresso, mocha, wood, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, black tea and bitter herbs.

Medium finish with grippy, yet fine tannins and bitter vegetable.

A very enjoyable red blend from California. Nicely balanced with mild complexity. Still showing some vegetables on the palate, which will probably disappear in a year or two. Easy drinking with a great mouthfeel, and enjoyable by itself or with food.

Tasted at the winery and bought a bottle. Big aroma of plums. Big velvet on the tongue. Taste a blend of dark cherries and plums and cranberries. A long dry finish.

I was in a hurry and a bottle short of a discount... I'm not going to lie, this has some appeal. There's a juicy blast of black raspberry followed by some loamy soil and spice, but in some sort of sinister irony there's a big "poof" and then the wine disappears before the midpalate.

This was a delectable wine for about $13 at TJs. I brought it for Xmas dinner and it was well received (Vik especially liked it). Tastes expensive.
