An absolute opulent wine! Aromas of cigar box, black olives, and forest floor and flavors of blackberry pie. The wine seamlessly wraps around the tongue without sucking it dry with a finish that lingers for days...decanted for an hour+ and drank it down. It was only going to get better the longer it breathed, but it didn't last long.

Off the charts Sangioveto. Spicy, leathery, deep and rich. Our friends made us Lasagna and this is the perfect complement.

Fell in love with this wine during our first visit to Tuscany. Technically a Chianti Classico Riserva but so much more. Small production from just outside Castellina, consistent expression of Tuscan finesse year after year (tasted and holding ‘08 onward). Dark but elegant, smooth but complex. This wine is drinking flawlessly now with continued aging potential. We ❤️ 🇮🇹.
