Translucent but concentrated at the same Time. Aromatic opening of fresh red berries, cherries, strawberries and raspberries, lavender, fresh mint and a balanced incense like volatile lift over a savoury spice cancan.
Dry palate with a high acidity, medium + body and high dusty, tannins, fresh mid palate with a medium flavour intensity of red cherries, violets and incense with a medium + lenght finish
Very dominant of the tannins at the moment and would Benefit from a couple years of mellowing.

Powerful, classically austere and incredibly beautiful, the 2016 Chianti Classico is a total stunner. Sweet red cherry, tobacco, cedar, mint and dried flowers open up with a bit of coaxing. The translucent beauty of Sangiovese comes through in a wine that will leave readers weak at the knees. $25.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020)

Lovely aromas of old cherry marmelade, rosehip, tomato leafs and a hint of leather. Good acidity, medium body, decent length. On the more mature side, but still got some fruit.

Solid. Not as good in my opinion as some previous vintages.
