The most Burgundian Chianti I've had, this showed subtle aromatics, only moderate tannins, detailed cherry red fruit, and a mushroom savoriness. (I do want a little more Sangiovese character). We had it at il ristoro di ama, which was one of our favorite lunches of our trip.

Nov 8th, 2015Great chianti Classico. Had the same vintage 06 in 375ml, 750ml and 1500ml. The difference in maturity is remarkable! The 1/2 bottle is ready, the bottle will evolve for 3 years at least, but the magnum was too, too young. Should wait 8 more years to open...
