Being used to Crianza Tempranillos that are more full bodied with spicier notes, this was rather subtle in comparison. This non vintage Clavijo has medium plus tannins with leathery and cherry notes. Moderate minus acidity and went well with a simple top sirloin steak. Medium bodied with some translucency typical of Tempranillo and what I'd describe as a dark ruby color. Pleasant mouthfeel followed by jammy red fruit. Medium finish and medium complexity.
