California Cabernet Sauvignon

Tried their second release from Caymus Vineyards, this wine is a California-appellation Cabernet Sauvignon, so grapes can come from anywhere in CA! Dark Ruby, aromas of ripe black fruits, smoky tobacco and pepper spices. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with herb, cacao, espresso and vanilla oak, after it opened up. Fine tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit, cacao, vanilla and earthy herbs. Drinkable now! Seems a bit pricey!

Smooth and full of flavorful black and red fruit notes. No need to open up, wonderful from the very first sip.

Herbaceous notes lead into dark berries, good tannin structure and pleasing, toasty finish.

Bottle picked for our 20th anniversary dinner. Very smooth!

Very fruity with layered notes. If I’d blind tasted it, I would’ve thought it’s a Zinfandel.

First night of the boys wellness trip eating at Scooby‘s Favorite spot Russell’s. The boys like the choice of the bottle of Caymus, which of course they do everybody loves Caymus!

9/2025. Nice full body cab. Full flavor and nice on the palate. Paired well with the bone in pork chop at Mr. Friendly’s

Earthy, funky red fruit front with notes of cigar and dark cherry. Dry, wooly finish. Straightforward, but lovely. Just red fruit, oak, smoke, and tannins.
