Im the first to bad mouth young Caymus but it's still pretty cool to taste a 17 year old wine from a historic producer. not as crazy ripe or fake oak as i expected. not at all like i expected. 14.3%

Very elegant and refined. Stewed BlackBerry and red vine licorice mixed with supple tannins. Drink now.

Still showing youth and a bit tight on the nose, hasn't opened much after 3 hours. Some cherry leather and chocolate covered cranberry notes. Pretty silky on the palate, but definitely not shy on the fruit & oak (as expected).

It's a 2000 that I'm drinking on the other side of peak. Decanted like I've not decanted before. It got there, though. Delicious.

Valentine's Day treat - well known pedigree to this wine and it is quite impressive but I'm glad I didn't pay retail... Gorgeous cherry, vanilla solid structure yet fine grained tannins

Horrible!, apparently went bad. The cork was in perfect condition, saved in a cooler, but went flat. Kept too long.
