Notably more extracted and aggressive than the Armada Cayuse of the same vintage. But impressive in its purity, fruit more on the red-purple spectrum, with a grapey element that works. Impressive.

Big, Walla Walla Syrah. Extracted but lots of good earth to balance it out. Not for the feint of heart.

A strong case for Syrah as Oregon's greatest grape and Milton-Freewater as the place with Oregon's greatest terroir.

Pours currant in color. ON THE NOSE: jammy dark fruit, toasted oak and sweet spice ON THE PALATE: plum, meaty, blackberry. A big extracted wine. A little rough on edges but hasn't been decanted too long. Medium(+) body Long finish.

Wild stuff. Sweet tea-smoked duck, orange peel, plum and wet forest floor. No harsh edges, just seamless and really pretty.

Funky lovely pot roast black pepper and blueberries. I was more enamored with the story behind the bottle. I would love to have it again

My one and only bottle. Very good, but I guess I was expecting more.
