Swoon. Smells like an artisan bakery early in the morning... there’s that really fruity pungent sourdough starter smell, mixed with a whiff of bread that’s just started to brown in the oven. Then it’s just an insanely fruity, pretty, complex nose, with hints of pear, quince and raspberry. Palate is absurd; spot on acid, enough chalky minerals to keep it interesting, but it isn’t austere at all.

In fact, it’s one of the most seductive young champagnes I can remember trying. The sweetness on the finish is perfect and so natural. A real stunner. Would not think twice about paying 2x what this sells for. Disgorged 2020.

Disgorged in 2020.
Young and beautiful champagne. I love PN champagne. It has so much power, brioche, hazlenuts, ripe apple and nice acidity.

Young? Yes! But why wait? Along came a sole meunière...... what a priceless combination. (Vintage 18 disg 20) For me blanc the noir does the trick!

V18 April 2020 disgorgement....nice developed color...tiny pinprick bubbles...still a bit tightly wound. Ripe red apple/pear notes. Ethereal and weightless...with lively bright acidity. Far more complex and nuanced than all the big house NV bubbles. And the texture, taste and finish ramp up as it warms in the glass. Early Christmas quaff with great cheese, olives, and an ass-kicking local sourdough/green olive boule. Merry Christmas and peace on earth!

Yes I know it can age. But one has to try.....
The new vintage rocks. Nice mousse and freshness yet a lot of character too. Looking forward to see it evolve. That is if I can resist...
