Vintage 2014 - good concentration, spicyness, chocolate impression

Haven’t posted in a while but this one is worth the effort. De Scala Dei only makes this in exceptional years and this blend clearly hits the mark.

70 Grenache 30% Carignan. Anise placer, chocolate, coffee, black berries, licorice, cinnamon, dried up green spices, roses, sea of ​​grapefruit peel, medium + body, very pleasant silky tannins, soft texture, juicy fleshy alcoholic aftertaste.

Too young too much fruit and jam for my liking.

Wonderfully light on the nose with a hint of roses. A beautiful blend with Grenache leading the way. I always find it hilarious that the label is in French and English but it’s produced in Spain. Slightly acidic with notes of boysenberry and a floral hint.
