Deep ruby coloration with a hint of brown. Can see through the wine around the rim a bit. On the nose, cherry liquor, spice. On the palate, light, no typical velvety coated mouthfeel you see with the best amarones. After 3 hours of decanting, Sour cherry, vanilla, and tobacco. After another hour of decanting, tastes of raisin and plum and oak become more prominent and there is a longer finish of vanilla and plum.

Opens strong with a heavy dark fruit, earthy nose, but quickly brightens. A good Amarone, but I think a bit high at $40.
