Chosen for dinner by John Brecher and Dorothy Gaiter in honor Open That Bottle Night. Very beautiful for about 10 minutes before it began to fade. Dipped whiling talking wine politics and feminism with Karen MacNeil the other fellows at The Professional Wine Writers Symposium. What an honor to get to share in this with peers!

Feb 23rd, 2019Vintage selection from block f-1. Upright redwood tanks used for fermentation. Austere wine with a long finish. Truly a special experience.

Lots of fruit still evident, while tertiary notes of tobacco, sage and spice box poke the mid-palate. A historic tasting I’ll never forget. Thank you @David L 😍
