Saint-Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend

Dense plum, cherry and blackberry with groovy spice. Full and rich, soft and plush. Quite pleasurable.

Only 300 btls produced? Wondering if that is accurate, but no matter. This was a beautiful wine! Everything one cod want in a bottle. Seductive dark blueberry fruits without all the sugar, a mineral and earth strata to tone it down, judicious oak to frame it all. Fine art! Really delicious, and the tannins were exquisitely integrated. A menagerie of amuse bouches from soft smoke, to crisp plum, black cherry, to forrest scrub, black olive, roasted currant, truffle, etc. Will drink this again!

Dark ruby hue with slight brickish tinge. Big bouquet of dark fruit (including blackberry, cassis, and plum). Plus body, plus tannins, plus acid. Elegant with a medium-length finish. Exemplary Right Bank Bordeaux. 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc.

Already some browning in colour and aromatics.
Drink now.

We had the 2010 Vintage on 1/8-9-23. Tastes of black cherry, blackberry, plum, cassis and an earthiness. Medium bodied with fine tannins. Has more fruit than the 2003.

Concentrated but still tightly wound. Lots of cherry and raisin with loam and hints of chocolate. Plenty of acid and backbone. Has a lot of life left.

Very solid. Dark fruit, smooth tannins, hints of vanilla, long finish.. good treat

Very enjoyable. Really pleasing with nice layers of fruit, earth, acid, and tannin. What else do you need?
