I’ll be frank people. Your organic, orange wine pet-nat stuff is all well and good. But a classically constructed, traditional left bank Bordeaux is the highest expression of what wine can be and that is simply that. Branaire-Ducru’s 2015 is an intense plummy, jammy, rich delight. Like bananas foster, baked Alaska, or roasted prime rib. It’s classic, old fashioned, and so good that new fashioned simply cannot compare. Merci Patrick Maroteaux for sticking with the tried and true.
