On the palate blackberry and black cherry flavors with leather, gentle herbs and smoky notes. Round silky tannins, elegant with nice acidity balance from start to finish. An incredibly precise Calon-Segur, almost certainly infanticide. Perfectly delineated layers of dark red fruit, already quite nuanced. Earthy and tannic finish that lasted 45+ seconds, a 95+ St Estephe in 5-10 years. Worth waiting.
