Jun 2nd, 2024Why do I keep wasting my money on French wines!? I guess it’s because occasionally they are stunningly brilliant, but for the most part (except for the Rhône’s) they’re mediocre.
2019 vintage tasted November 2021. Melon and apricots on the nose. Sweet green table grapes on the front of the palate—then it goes down hill from there. watery Tanic structure with lots of bitter high notes on the top of the pallet. It has a soft finish, but I get a burp of sourness as I swallow it.
Overall this is an inoffensive white wine. Suitable for serving guests for whom you don’t want to waste the good stuff on.
