This wine was not easy to evaluate, but as it sat in the glass, its thickness and impressive credentials became obvious. Sweet cherry liqueur, kirsch, cassis, dried herbs, cedar, and toasty oak gradually emerge from the wine's restrained aromatics. The palate is inundated with exceptional concentration, ferocious tannin, and high levels of extract.
