This bottle was a tad more classical and rugged around the edges, showing more graphite, clay and smoke.

This is drinking great right now.
Surprisingly soft and open, beautifully balanced. In the mouth it showed dollops of dark cherry cobbler, forestfloor and clay, graphite and tobacco, ink and autumn leaves.
A very good wine from “the last affordable vintage in Bordeaux”.

2004 a lesser vintage??? Not with this Chasse Spleen! Sweet and mouthfilling. Good stuff!

A bit closed first day but open and lovely second day (fruit day). Aromatic sweet red fruit, cassis, currant. Little oak influence.
