Château-bottled #bordeaux at a price too good to pass up. First day it’s pretty tight out of the bottle. A day later aromas span out - black fruit, cassis plus some graphite and underbrush notes. In the mouth, lighter body than the deep color would suggest yet the 14.5% ABV is well-integrated supported by generous acidity. Tongue-hugging tannins linger on the finish. $7 at Costco - solid BDX at this price point.

1 person found it helpfulApr 17th, 2021100% Merlot! And 14.5% ABV. Color is appealing. Slightest rust and a nice crimson hue. Smells like water was sprinkled on hot bricks, berry-cherry non-alcoholic ciders, & ground fennel seeds. Flavors are lean and sleek, but juicy and on point. Fruits of the tart and bright type. Maybe a forest blackberry or a black currant? This is a great everyday Bordeaux. Would meet chicken or tofu dishes perfectly. A nice young Frenchie, oui oui!
