Classified as a Fifth Growth in 1855, the palate shows concentrated fruit flavors of black cherry and red plums with tobacco, bitter cacao and smoky oak. a powerhouse blend with smooth fine tannins, well balanced. Long finish ending with fruit, oak and earthy notes. Very well done!

Medium to full bodied, dense and very good structure, black currants, earth, tobacco, graphite and cedar with hints of espresso and a silky smooth finish with soft tannins.

A bit stanky on the nose but wonderfully complex flavors of graphite, cedar, tobacco, dark chocolate, and dark fruit, blackberry, black currant. Medium bodied, smooth tannin, and lifted. Very satisfying.

Decanted 90 minutes prior. Nose of black currant, graphite and tobacco leaves. The palate is medium bodied with a nice rich texture and rounded silky tannins, good fun bottle without being great, still has a lot of time ahead of it.
Nez de cassis, graphite et feuille de tabac. Bouche avec une belle texture riche et des tannins assez enveloppées, c’est bon mais sans grande émotion et cela va tenir la route très longtemps encore. 90-91
