Vieilles Vignes Châteauneuf-du-Pape Roussanne

Not as developed and maderized as I would’ve thought but nice nutty aromas with orchard fruit and sunflower.

'06 vintage VV Roussanne, vintage label fell off. Hazelnuts, honey, cara cara orange, tremendous wine

Surprising brightness & acidity.

Deep, lush, dense, impressive. Honeysuckle, peach, roasted oranges, nutty notes, as well.
To drink now. And wow.

Orange peel, walnut, beeswax, camphor, oily texture. Fantastic with cod/bacon/sour cream/thyme/hazelnut/caramelized onion/pecorino.

Honey on the nose...a bit of bitter in the aftertaste. Oil, but weight. Lovely to drink!!!

Massively flawed....got through a charity event.

Paired well with truffled beurre Blanc scallops... pear, apple and walnut notes.

Marzipan, orange zest, a smoldering fire, a wine for winter, ridiculous concentration! Hazelnut. Super rich.

A warm winter wine, orange peel, marzipan, roasted nuts, tropical flowers, vanilla. Very thick, unctuous, demanding attention. Always a very impressive wine, yet this one bottle seems more advanced compared to previous ones.
