Château de Camarsac (Thierry Lurton)
Selection Vieilles Vignes Supérieur Red Bordeaux Blend
Red cherry, oak, and strict tannins. This is a light and simple Bordeaux. Right bank. Predominantly merlot, cab blend. Nothing special but not horrible.

Feb 18th, 2019Solid wine for the price. Expressive nose with decent structure and mid-length finish. Cherry notes that evolve into some baking spices. Soft tannins.

Feb 10th, 2019Smells like peppered cherry pie, fresh and oozing.
The wine comes on with ease, ripe rainier cherries, fruit pithe, really ripe black plum.
Another great everyday Bordeaux, not too thick, or thin. Good mouthfeel, and dusty tannins.
Plus, it really does go well with the kitchen paint..
Not sure why the low marks.

Tasted this at s big box wine store. Simple wine, Dark red with jammy fruit aromas, slight spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry fruit, some sweetness, with firm tannins ok balance, medium finish ending with spice notes. I was generous with my comments but I would pass. Tasting Sample.

Mar 2nd, 20182015 vintage. Owned by another Lurton (in this case Thierry), Camarsac is a classified historical castle in the Entre-Deux-Mers region. This Bordeaux Supérieur is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Another nice value in Bordeaux. Give it 15 minutes in the glas and you will enjoy a charming, well-balanced uncomplicated Bordeaux that delivers for the price (8,90 euro). Abv. 13,5 %.

1 person found it helpfulNov 3rd, 2020A little more fruity for my taste but great for someone venturing into a cab. Too much on the Merlot side for my tasting.

Aug 2nd, 2021First time with a Bordeaux. Nice smooth, but too understated and no remark-ability, if that's understandable.

Aug 20th, 2019Taste the tannins on the first sip, but after it breathes for a min, quite a nice wine.
