Very nice, yet still somewhat tannic and sturdy.
Last april we savored a bottle of this wine during a memorable tasting in a certain Léognan kitchen and I remember that bottle as more generous, hedonistic and polished.

Might be past the peak as the tannins have receded a bit more than I was hoping (especially to pair with steak). Still a classic Bordeaux nose and a nice mouthfeel, length, and acid - but overall expressed slightly lighter than you’d expect for a Pessac.

This is a special bottle for my best friend! Cheers!! I just feel that we can drink together in the difficult time. I just love this wine. This 2009 is absolutely beautiful, 92+ by RP, and this is not surprising.

Lovely wine full of flavour and feels very thick or full bodied. Caramels and soft oak on the noise, slightly tannic and the finish but she’s still young at just 9 years old. Another few years let in this for sure.
