For me this showed more Sangiovese than Gamay, but it was still pretty good on the Thanksgiving table. Decent heft & color, brooding nose of Earth, leather and darker fruit were deftly conveyed with juicy acidity. The subtle jamminess was only giveaway - otherwise this was a Chianti Classico
