Côte-Rôtie Serine

This is why I love Northern Rhone Syrah, this is bonkers good and so young but showing very well. As good as it is now I see it getting even better in 7-10+ years as time chips away and starts to impart more space in the layers.of complexity that ring this wines personality.

Dark red currants, blackberry, mother rock granite, piquant meat, smoke, and charcoal embers. Perfect structure, ripe and firm tannin and great acidity. Ferral, wild and unhinged this is what drinking great wine is all about!

Dark and brooding aroma with sweet pepper jerky and earth. Medium body, medium acid. Very balanced though falling a little short in complexity and not a lengthy finish. Compared to Barruol's Cote Rotie of same vintage - Cosme showed best and most typical.

Pretty. Pretty young.

Smoked meat, graphite, leather, dried blackberry, dried black cherry, tobacco, and black plum. Very good to outstanding.

Aussi agréable au nez qu'en bouche. Un régal.

Fresh plums, violets, bouquet garni, anise, and so much more. Perfect balance and my perfect Syrah.

Aromatically this is simply on point. Soaring florals and cracked pepper waft from the glass & don't quit. On the palate, this is more to fruity side rather than the savory. Tannins are silky & this walks a balanced line between power and finesse.

Would have been a higher rating had the finish been a bit longer. But it was a little thinner than I expected.

Jammy and spicy all at the same time - had it the following night and still stood up. Opulent on the nose - wonderful as only the French do Wines :) One of my favorite Cote Rotie's

Huge notes of bacon and lavender. Slightly dry, tart red fruit. Herbacious and a little earthy.
