Château de Saint-Cosme
Crozes-Hermitage Syrah

I just love Syrah from the Northern Rhône. This is a great example of one that isn’t too expensive but it delivers big time.

Velvety, Crozes-Hermitage with curves, as expected from such a plump vintage. At the start of its drinking window and will improve over the next 5-7.

Too early. Still jammy, with some attractive graphite and cherry notes. Still—a pleasure.

Fresh, candied and dried cherry aroma along with some subtle herbal notes. Fruit dominant (cherries and raspberries) with subdued tannins. With the right food I could honestly confuse it for a more extracted Burgundy. Tasty and uncomplicated but delivers.
