Nose: light coffee, dark cherry, milk chocolate, black olive. Smells like Bordeaux - better than I expected. Taste: a little lighter and more sour than expected, but OK. Smells better than it tastes. 85. Not worth the price ($11-12?) at TJ’s.

2019 vintage. Trader Joe’s special @ $11.99. 2018 was fairly decent for the price as is this vintage. Merlot driving the bus. Decent large party or quaffable red at a good price to keep on hand for all those extemporaneous/impromptu shindigs you’ll be having in the next few months. Front-loaded palate with some mid-palate presence. Best parts gone by the finish but still fills the bill.
