Superb pairing with the pigeon, served cellar temp (slightly chilled on a balmy Berlin August evening); very finely blended velvety tannins and somewhat stanky earth flavors. Someone I know imports this to the US and I happen to have some of the '14 and '15 waiting for me at home!!!

This wine was smooth, yet lively and flavorful. It was the perfect complement to herb-crusted rack of lamb, yet it’s delicious and drinkable on its own. I don’t always spend this much for wine (don’t judge!), but this is worth the splurge once in a while. We will buy this next time we make rack of lamb.
