Blason d'Issan Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend

I had a bottle of this 3 weeks ago and needed another. PnP on a rainy day. This is such an excellent value Margaux. Fruity, tannic, and singing.
Listening to Merle Haggard, one of the finest poets in music.

This wine is helping me stain a table for my kiddo who's heading off to school 😢
But, it is an excellent wine! Good Lord it's very well made. Perfect today and will be perfect in 5 years. Ripe fruit, bit of leather, smooth tannins. A man's gotta believe in something, and I believe I'll buy more of this.

This is such a great wine: I’m sorry I rushed it and had it after eight years. It could have aged another 10–15 years. Decanted it four hours before serving and it was still tight, although it opened in the glass. Served it with sous vide leg of lamb (finished on the grill) and roasted potatoes, and it was a match made in heaven.

Lovely dark fruit. A great wine. The second wine from Chateau D’Issan.

Smooth. Gets better with more decanting. Delightful.

A little too thin for me
