Deep gold. Nose and palate yield candied apricot, honey, white flowers, baked peach, and pineapple birthday cake. Perfect balancing acidity. Lingering finish extends the palate. Geez! And this isn’t even a Premier Cru. Drink now through forever.

T: too sweet. Getting a sugary Chardonnay. A little passion fruit but mostly sugary Chardonnay.
D: passion fruit and grapefruit but too sweet. Subsequent tastes revealed peach tones.

Feb 13th, 2023This had all the flavour and texture of an even higher score, but it was noticeably lacking balance. It needs more acidity to cut the sweet honey, apricot and custard. A solid effort, but certainly not amongst the best. Decent QPR and a good starter to experience the profile of what Barsac/Sauternes has to offer, but my score reflects just that.
