Margaux Red Bordeaux Blend

Generous nose of blackberry compote, violets, forest brush and cedar. On the palate, expect ripe tannins, black cherry and a fair amount of glycerol. It's full, round, fat and totally hedonistic.

2009 Claret tasting with tasting group. My 4th, group 2nd. Notable bottle development, peppermint note, brown sugar, ripe

#1 at Bordeaux blind tasting. Ripe black fruit and mild tannins. Velvet, long finish. ++example of a ++ year. Wish we had more back home.

If I put this blind in a Ca Cabernet tastings, most of you would call Ca Cabernet. Rich big dark cassis, huge baking spices, caramel and dry dark florals. Out of magnum.

Another bottle. Still lovely. Only 90 points this time.
