Château Grange Cochard
Morgon Côte Du Py Gamay
Deep violet. Deeply perfumed dark berry, cherry and licorice aromas are complemented by hints of succulent flowers, smoky minerals and baking spices. Appealingly sweet and expansive on the palate, offering intense, mineral-driven black raspberry, cherry cola, violet pastille and spicecake flavors that firm up on the back half. Rich yet lively as well, finishing impressively long and focused, with fine detail and harmonious tannins lending gentle closing grip. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2021)

This was an entirely different wine after two days. Sumptuous and with softer tannins but clear acidity. Upon opening it was raw and edgy.

Dec 6th, 2021Wound tight as hell. Rather awkward at the moment, but I can tell it has potential. I’m just not sure where it’s going. Slight Brett, blood and iron on the nose. Dark fruit, tannins and acid in the mouth. Medium finish.
