Vintage 1986 | Just married, buying a house, we had no money for Mouton, for sure. I was so happy to find this 1986 Dutch bottling, that was incredibly hard to taste young. At our copper wedding anniversary the cook used it to my surprise for a fine monkfish in red wine sauce, the wine to partner it. The magnums still had a lot of tannins then. This week we celebrated 40 y wedding, and when we came home I opened this Gros Moulin 86. Beautiful bright colour, nice smell with spicyness, laurel, supple taste. We have had Gros Moulin of many years, Côtes de Bourg can be underestimated. We enjoyed the bottle with the two of us - very satisfied - with some parmesan cheese.
