Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend

One of the most disappointing first growths I’ve had. Not sure if the 11s need more time, or if they’ll just never come around. Atypically lean vintage of this with a fairly predictable and uninspired aromatic profile.

On the riper side. Not my favorite HB vintage

Not sure if it's the Bordeaux romanticism and memories that accompany this wine that make it so great, but one of my favourites. The 1994 probably holding as one of the most stunning wines I have ever had the pleasure of tasting

Day 2 with Bob

I have favoured Haut-Brion in blind tastings before, but not this time. This is not the most praised vintage by any means but still. Haut-Brion still comes with some expectations. It’s solid and well made, but fairly closed. There are of course signs of class and aristocracy shining through but too underwhelming at this occasion.

Full of berries, jam, super silky tannins. Wonderful nose. Amazing

Maybe the greatest wine in the world and the finesse shows in every dimension but not something to chase for us

17.5/20 (93+/100) Сложный и насыщенный аромат спелых ягод малины, чёрной смородины, вишни с нотами гвоздики, чёрного шоколада, чёрного трюфеля и мускатного ореха. Высокая кислотность и достаточно интенсивные, ещё суховатые, шелковистые по текстуре танины. Ягодно-шоколадное во вкусе. Абсолютно потрясающее молодое вино. (04.10.2017)
