2016 vintage. An ancient estate that had disappeared, but revived by Eric Perrin (Château Carbonnieux). Today 20 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are planted in the commune of Marcillac. The nose features blueberries, rosemary and an intriguing stony minerality. Well-structured in the mouth, the fruit a little timid amongst edgy tannin and remarkable freshness. Still holding back, this wine needs time to show its true potential. It definitely has personality, but don't expect a crowdpleaser. Should come around with a few years of bottle ageing. Abv. 13,5%.
