Château La Rame
Bordeaux Sauvignon Blanc
Nose has intense gardenia flower, celery leaf, sliced peaches, damp hay, lemon peel, mango and tangerine slice.
Palate has ripe yellow grapefruit, tart peach, wet slate, dried orange, dehydrated pineapple, light acidity and medium finish.
This bottle is in a really great spot today, the floral aroma is a knockout!
$15 Feb 2015; buy and cellar inexpensive Bordeaux Blanc, be very happy later when the acidity settles...
Hold future bottles 2025-28.

A pre-reception, pre-pre-dinner wine. Tonight will be all Burgundy, so we're cleaning our palates in advance with this beauty. Nothing better than inexpensive white Bordeaux with several years of age, the acidity just fades away.
Fresh cut grass, citrus, peach & peach skin, slatey-minerals, all fully integrated, beautiful.

A great white at Heritage. Leave the wine selection to Chris!

Nov 22nd, 2015This is not a wine that u would typically write a novel on, but what It had going on worked. Had citrus notes of lemon and lime and was grassy. Not an insanely mouth-watering Sauvignon Blanc, but hey, this is Bordeaux not New Zealand, so it was exactly what I expected. You know how your basic Bordeaux can be hit or miss - this was a hit.

Mar 29th, 2015Fresh, herby, grassy.
On the palate surprisingly juicy and with some weight. Nice.
