Bernard Magrez's La Tour Carnet is terrific. Dark cherry, smoke, licorice, French oak, and tobacco give the 2015 its brooding personality. In this vintage, La Tour Carnet is a bit restrained, and yet all the elements come together nicely. One of Bordeaux's hidden gems, La Tour Carnet ages beautifully and delivers serious quality for the money. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2018)

Mar 5th, 2018Oak and earthy flavor. Black fruits with a bit spicy taste. Enough body. Calm. No herby taste even in Haut Medoc. Need to decant it at least for one hour. RP90 2015 @1550, Eva - XH, 200912-200918

Sep 12th, 2020GL tasting Pape Clement 10/18/17. Also more Merlot than Cab. Also less New oak in newer vintages. 2015 nose that's black fruits and Cassis and hints of earth. Body Medium and palate very balanced between acid and fruit. Long finish. 8.9. '10 had great structure and texture that's mouth puckering. Will age well. 9.0. '05 more complex aged nose with dustiness. Firm body and structure and long finish. 9.0.
