Tasted blind. way too young. It took ten minutes to show anything. Bright red Raspberry compote, cocoa but not bitter, green pepper way on the back end, Structure, tannins are distinct, baking spices. Deductive tasting makes this wine easy to understand

Dec 31st, 2016Wonderful nose and we enjoyed the bottle over two nights (beef stroganoff, pork chops), but I think I would be happier with a fruitier but meatier red. ($50).

Oct 10th, 2020Is thank pink peppercorn and the suggestion of rose petals? Inky enough to start a journal, with bitter, red fruit standing on the sidelines. The usual clay minerality isn't as dense as I would expect, the gravel and iron of Gazin terroir brightening up the mid palate phenomenally. Tannins are still a bit fuzzy in this 2012, but I bet in 6 years or more, a savory, smooth bouquet would marry the tart red fruits for a satisfying right-bank Bordeaux.
