Deep ruby red with garnet edges. A touch of forest floor on the nose with dark red fruits. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Quite rustic with earthy notes and a touch of mushrooms. Solid gravel too in the medium plus finish. Drink till 2028.

I miss the rusticity of the past, but there's no denying that this is cleverly made. Sweet, grainy and accessible tannins, pure cherry fruit, hints of blackberries and freshly cut oregano; this is nicely updated. I like it a lot, but there's just something missing...

May 30th, 2015There's a positive rusticity here, combined with elegant additions of red and black currants, dark chocolate and pure, fresh acidity, cleansing the back palate. Should be very pleasant from 2018.

Dark garnet robe, nose of blackcurrant and anise, then dark fruits, violettes and spices together with tobacco and tar, pepper. Medium bodied, elegant, long, its opening now but no rush. We liked it a great deal, its a very fine wine.

Apr 22nd, 2020Very open and beautiful nose followed by a much tighter mouth that is still in need of time. Its not the classiest juice but lots of potential here if you give it another 3 to 5 years.
