I don’t think I have ever had a Malbec from France. It made a statement! Crisp, sharp tannins submerged in dark extracts of pipe tobacco, cassis, dark cherry and unripe blue berries. Strong backbone with vibrant acidity. We started sipping it late at night and it evolved from an intriguing brass quartet to a full blown symphony with huge drums, trumpets, and double bass.
