Deep ruby . Quite deep and restrained cassis and blackberry, grafite , cedar and spice. On the palate very good definition and balance with ripe cassis , blackcurrant and dark cherry , grafite and cedar, mineral , oyster shell undertones . Ample tannin and richness but with good fresh acidity , and good length, balanced alcohol, complex and vibrant . Very young still, though the ripeness and roundness of the tannin helps to give an enjoyable drinking experience. I would prefer to come back in 5-8 years and will last well a further 10 -15. For a ‘second’ wine this really well done.
