In Bordeaux vintages that are described as average or just Ok, like in 2007, I often find the second wines from the premiere chateaux are fantastic value because there is not that much difference. This is a great example, huge effervescent bouquet of dark fruits, crushed rock, graphite, all well integrated and absolutely rewarding. This was a magnum and it went fast.
